Grumpy

I've been getting a bit grumpy about Christmas so I put mabel in the shop window, it really cheered me up.

After work I went to the shop with Jim to start moving all of our stuff upstairs we didn't work very hard but it's looking great!  We're sort of open tomorrow and very much open from Saturday morning.

I also had a lovely surprise today when one of our customers David Brehme sent me some photo's he had taken of the downstairs shop, aren't they lovely? and  just in time to get nostalgic!

Relocation Relocation Relocation

Exciting news! We've decided (with a little help from the Health and Safety department of Edinburgh Council) to move Bicycle Thieves upstairs so that Retrospective and BT will be one joyous shop! This means no more scary stairs, much easier access and sunlight while working for Elizabeth Linsey and Mabel. The new shop will be open this weekend (in time for Christmas shopping) but we'll have a belated re-opening knees up in mid January, Come and visit us.

New Coat

I got a new coat today, its lovely. I also decided we should have an outfit of the week which will either be something we find in our rails or something one of our lovely customers comes in wearing, there will be photos too so you can have a sneaky peek.

Review in The List

The other day we came across the most amazing little surprise, a wonderful review in The List! Completely unexpected but delightful non the less!  Oh and our opening hours aren't that bonkers!

The first post!

Since opening the shop a couple of weeks ago a lot of people have suggested we start a blog.  So here it is, ready and raring to go! now I can tell everyone about the exciting and not so exciting things that are happening on Easter Road and in particular those that happen down the dark, dark stairs ...
